NEWS FLASH!
THE 315 EXCURSION ON SEPT 13-14 AND THE CHAMA STEAM FALL CLASSIC ARE BOTH A "SURE GO"!
THE GOOSE IS NEAR SOLD OUT ON ALL TRIPS.

IN COOPERATION WITH THE CUMBRES & TOLTEC, THERE WILL BE ONE EXCURSION with D&RGW #315
BEFORE THE NATIONAL NARROW-GAUGE
CONVENTION IN COLORADO SPRINGS!
Sunday & Monday, September 13 & 14, 2009
Your chance of a lifetime! The only SCHEDULED 315 excursion in 2009.
No 315 excursion on the C&TS in 2010, and maybe not for some time after that.
Those who have already signed up and paid a deposit for the Chama Steam excursion that was scheduled for AFTER the convention, may either receive a refund or have their deposit credited to the 315 excursion.
THE DETAILS:
The oldest D&RGW engine operating on an original D&RGW narrow gauge railroad. Sunday: from Antonito to Chama. An authentic historic train consisting of all gondolas (ten or more) and a caboose. Monday: from Chama to Antonito. A different freight consist up to Cumbres and added cars down to Antonito. Possibly bunk cars and kitchen car.
A steam driven chase train for passengers both ways.
A full two days of fabulous run-bys for photographers.
Includes lunch at Osier both days, hotel in Chama Sunday night, Sunday happy hour with wine, soft drinks, cheese, and crackers, 315 coffee mug.
A night photo shoot with the 315 in the Chama yard.
Prices: $695 up to April 30; $745 from May 1-10; $795 after May 10. $75 extra for caboose each day.
Prices are based on double occupancy for Sunday night hotel room. For single room, add $50.00. ONE-DAY trips are available on a limited basis. We will sell one-way tickets as long as there is a close balance between east-boind and west=bound tickets. $425.00 before April 30; $450 after April 30 (NO HOTEL accomodatoins are included in this option.)
Passengers using the one-day option must arrange for their own transportation back to the originating station.

All ticketing is handled by C&TS. Call 1-888-286-2737 Note: limited seating. Also, we need a minimum number of tickets sold to make this
excursion feasible. Checks and credit card submittals will be held until the excursion is a positive go. Decision expected by June 30. If the minimum threshold for tickets
are not sold, the event will be canceled, and checks and funds will be returned.
The fine print:
The C&TS assumes no liability besides the actual price of the excursion ticket in the event the 315 is not operable during this event. The 315 was restored to operation in August 2007 and has proven to be reliable. It has never missed any of its scheduled events since then. However, the 315 is a unique machine and the Society cannot guarantee its operation or performance at any given time. There is no substitute locomotive of the same class available. Thus, C&TS or the Society may have to discontinue a run or change the schedule as necessary.

Please note that lodging for SUNDAY NIGHT ONLY is included in the price.
CHAMA STEAM FALL CLASSIC WILL RUN AGAIN ON OCTOBER 24, 2009!
PRICE: $500.00 includes lunch, water and snacks on board.
Plan ro arrrive in Chama on Friday, October 23 for check-in, yard and shop tours, and to get some SLEEP, as we will leave early Saturday morning. We'll triple-head to Cumbres Pass, then head for Osier and return. As usual, we'll have enough run-by and phoTo opprtunuties to wear you out! Please e-mail jay@chamasteam.com or call Jay at 505-929-2678 for more information.
Reservations will be handled by the C&TS Railroad at 1-888-286-2737.
